55 Years of Marriage May 23rd 2008

My dream of coming to Lake Louise in Canada has finally come true. Strange how our expectations of a place can materialize differently than we had imagined. All pictures of Lake Louise I have ever seen over the years, is of a beautifull deep blue lake with bright blue skies. and billowing white clouds .... with the gorgeeous Lake Louise Chateau Hotel in the background.

No one ever told us that we would possible view things with a much cooler eye, with quite a bit of ice and snow thrown in. We THOUGHT that late May would be a good time, to beat the crowds before summer, and since we had heard there was a heat wave in Canada that had melted the snows sooner than expected, and their main highway had mud slides because of that, we would certainly experience nice warm weather. WRONG..... We are now sitting in our lovely World Mark condo at Canmore, and it has been raining all day, and some of yesterday, and the day before and cloudy before that. So much for expectations.
Now make the best of it, and be happy that OUR pictures of Lake Louise will show the blue lake covered in BRIGHT WHITE ICE, FROZEN SOLID. ......but it is still magnificantly gorgeous, maybe even more so and the snow on the mountains shows the definitions of the peaks and crevices much more vividly.
